My name is Emily Hensley, and I am currently a PhD Candidate with a specialization in Rhetoric and Composition in the University of Central Florida's Texts and Technology program. I earned my M. A. in English in 2015 from Eastern Kentucky University, where I focused on digital media, writing studio pedagogy, and first-year writing. I currently teach first-year composition at UCF, and my research focuses on best practices for teaching first-year writing students about rhetorical velocity and circulation using digital and networked media and how best to guide students through some of the difficult ethical choices they must make when writing in digital, networked spaces. On this site, you'll find my CV, my teaching portfolio, and a research portfolio, containing some of my current and past research projects (my research portfolio page is currently undergoing some updates, so please forgive me if some of the links are not yet working correctly).
